Q.      How long will I have to wait after surgery before I can get my crown or bridge (tooth/teeth)?
A.      After implant placement, there is a healing period of 8 weeks to 6 months. Once healing is complete, you will be referred back to your dentist for placement of your crown or bridge.

Q.      When the implant is placed, will I have a space there?  
A.      Maybe. If you are concerned a temporary removable tooth may be made by your dentist.

Q.      Does smoking affect dental implants?
A.      Yes. Dental implants fail four times as often in the mouths of  smokers vs. non-smokers.

Q.      Will dental implants last a lifetime?
A.      While there are no guarantees in healthcare, dental implants do have a greater than 90% success rate over 10 years.
