Pocket Reduction Treatment - stops the progression of periodontal disease and eliminates the bacterial infection. The diseased pockets are accessed by reflecting the gum tissues back. The bacterial products at the base of the pocket are thoroughly removed. The gum tissues are then repositioned to achieve pocket reduction so it will be easier to maintain your periodontal health in the future. If the pockets are left untreated, the affected teeth can become loose and eventually will be lost.
